La parure est un marqueur culturel à la symbolique forte. A l’opposé d’une nécessaire discrétion à l’égard de la nature en regard des graves problèmes environnementaux, la culture bling-bling en fait un symbole ostentatoire et arrogant.
Pour prendre le contrepied, je décide de ne rien produire de plus mais de donner une seconde vie à une pièce d’un ancien projet.
En la brisant, je lui confère un statut de matière première précieuse. Puis, un filet à fruits de la grande distribution, allégorie du consumérisme à outrance qui produit des tonnes de déchets plastique finissant dans les océans, étranglant et empoisonnant la faune marine, est démaillé. Les fils sont utilisés pour emmailler les tessons dans un réseau chaotique, en une parure fragile et tranchante à la symbolique discordante.

Adornment is a cultural marker with strong symbolism. In contrast to the need for discretion regarding of serious environmental problems, the bling-bling culture makes it an ostentatious and arrogant symbol.
To counteract this, I decided not to produce anything more but to give a second life to a piece of an earlier project.
By breaking it, I give it the status of a precious raw material. Then, a fruit net from the supermarket, an allegory of excessive consumerism that produces tons of plastic waste ending up in the oceans, strangling and poisoning marine fauna, is dismantled. The filaments are used to swaddle the fragments in a chaotic network, in a fragile and sharp ornament with a discordant symbolism.
